Aqena, Inc., is a woman-owned business specializing in lactation accommodation and human resource management consulting since 1996. The company designs milk expression rooms and publishes reports for lactation accommodation at work and public facilities. It provides professional services and products for optimal and complete lactation programs. Aqena determines the right size, right place, and right design for each milk expression room to ensure that employers meet federal law requirements in accommodating lactating employees, increase productivity, and reduce costs.

• Facility Assessments:  determine optimal number and placement of worksite lactation accommodation to meet needs; assessment includes findings and recommendations.
  
• Worksite Lactation Programs:  provide human resource policies, procedures, and training for lactation accommodation programs; meets all state and federal requirements and qualifies for “Mother Friendly” designation.
  
• Products:  provide the Lactette^® milk expression console which meets Health Care and Food Handling Facilities Guidelines; qualifies for 7 year depreciation for special equipment; and candidate for LEED sustainability points.
